America is slowly transitioning from her Weimar Republic era and into one more akin to The Hunger Games. I know that term might be confusing because most people don’t know what the Weimar Republic was.
The Weimar Republic was established in the country known as Germany after World War 1. Germany was defeated, the Treaty of Versailles was signed, and the country’s system of government went from a monarchy to a republic. Then, the exorbitant amount of debt from the Great War made Germans desperate.
Adolf Hitler came into the public sphere at a time when stress and desperation ran high and morale ran low. It was unfortunately that person, charismatic and driven, that took advantage of a struggling people.
This is what corrupt, evil, power-hungry leaders want: to take advantage of those in a more vulnerable state than them. (And yes, I understand that this is very much a Sparknotes version of what really happened. I am a History student in university after all 😉 )
It has happened over and over — countless times — in human history, and it is still a sad reality today.
This is what our country has succumbed to in recent years. We’ve both allowed ourselves to be taken advantage of, and it’s happened at times when we’ve simply been vulnerable as a nation.
To my fellow American men and women: you’re being taken advantage of. These evil, corrupt, greedy rulers are taking your homes, your rights, your children, and your very identities away. This CANNOT happen any longer. We must link arms and stand against them, and that will look different for every family, every community. The most important thing is that we stand up, and stand together.
Want to know one of the reasons why the Left/Progressives/etc. hate Abraham Lincoln so much? Because of a quote that he’s well-known for saying (which is actually originally a theme from the Bible. It’s mentioned constantly throughout the entire volume) which is: “A house divided against itself cannot stand.”
They don’t want people to remember that. They don’t want anyone to see how they’re the bad guys. They want us constantly fighting with one another so that we will be too busy to notice what they’re up to, unable to spot their conniving schemes.
They want us divided.
Something I think about often is the line from Catching Fire: “Katniss, remember who the real enemy is.”

The battle is not with each other. It’s with the corrupt people that are orchestrating this chaos and discord among us.
If we continue to sit on our butts and let the world ignite, it will take no time at all for it all to be ablaze. I know you may think that your voice will be drowned out in the sea of insanity, the pushback will be too intense, or that you’ll be ostracized to the point of persecution.
I hear ya. I’m right there with you.
I’m currently an English major, and even President of the English Club on my campus, and I honestly feel muzzled. My friends (who are genuinely nice and wonderful people) would probably shun me if they knew I aligned with conservative values. I expect my professors would treat me differently — both in and outside of the classroom. I’m right in the thick of the Leftist-influenced humanities departments. It’s definitely scary, and I can’t pretend that I’m the righteous warrior battling evil day-in-day-out.
I’m scared to speak up. I’m constantly surrounded by people who talk badly (or even threaten) Conservatives, and it’s hard to speak against them.
But it can be done. It should be done. We must speak up. It’s now or never.
I’m here too. We’re in this together. Don’t allow our Weimar Republic to devolve and disintegrate into Nazi Germany. Yes, America (and Canada and most all other 1st world countries) has devolved and is not the great, admirable, ambitious, and welcoming country it once was. But it can be. It starts with me. It starts with you. Together.
We are the Revolution.
