5 Amazing Coffee Brands That Are Better Alternatives to Starbucks
There are so many companies in the last few years that have abandoned morals and the decency to simply pursue good marketing strategies for their products. A plethora of companies — Target, Johnson & Johnson, PG, Ulta, Victoria Secret (well, this company has never been a “moral” one), Ford — have not only jumped on, but are now leading, the WOKE bandwagon. Starbucks is no exception.
Actually, Starbucks has been more WOKE for longer than most of these other companies, at least in terms of what we’ve been able to see.
I’ve investigated these coffee companies, and I’ve honestly tested all but one of the products on this list (the last one mentioned), in order to promote and share companies that I truly believe are mostly morally upright companies with good products, or, at the very least, companies that don’t openly despise you and simply want to serve you their products.
Here are my top 5 coffee brand suggestions that are amazing alternatives to Starbucks.
1. Cabin Coffee Company
This company is by far my favorite coffee company. Their coffee is delicious, and they are a Christian company that also loves and supports America. I became aware of this company back in high school, but didn’t actually begin purchasing any of their products until I was in college. There is a Cabin Coffee store in the town where I first went to college, and there was one in the town where I went to church growing up, but that one sadly closed because of the C-19 pandemic (to the best of my knowledge that’s the reason why it closed).
I highly recommend their products. They have delicious coffee, and they do all their roasting in-house. Their merchandise is stylish and cool, and they have country-themed decorations all over their stores. They are a Christian company, and promote their Christian values in their stores by painting Bible verses in the bathrooms and hanging Bible verse decorations all over the store.
They have a country, Western, “log-cabin-in-Montana” feel to their stores and brand, and I adore it. They don’t have stores all over the country like some coffee chains, but they are in Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, Minnesota, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and their home state of Iowa. They’re headquartered in Clear Lake, Iowa, which is not far from where I grew up.
They have in-house roasted coffee grounds and espresso, coffee pods to use in Keurig-style coffee machines, coffee cups and mugs, and apparel.

2. Black Rifle Coffee Company
Black Rifle Coffee is a fantastic, good-tasting coffee brand that truly loves America. They are American military veteran founded and owned, and they prioritize veterans in their hiring process. There’s far too many homeless and jobless veterans here in America, and I applaud Black Rifle Coffee Co. for doing what they can to alleviate the negative treatment of our vets.
They are very active with their advertising and conservative messaging, and their merchandise is honestly really cool. I love that it’s pretty much all military themed, at least in some capacity, as I love these themes and styles.
They sell both whole bags of coffee grounds, coffee pods to use in Keurig-style machines, and a lot of cool apparel and other merchandise.

3. Einstein Bros. Bagels & Coffee
Einstein Bros. Bagels and Coffee is not overtly one way or the other politically, and that’s why this company is on this list. Sometimes it’s nice to have a company that just cares about putting out quality products and not some sort of agenda. Einstein’s social media focuses simply on promoting their products. They make posts for Memorial Day (which is something that many WOKE companies won’t do), and they’ve made a post proclaiming “Happy Mother’s Month” instead of “Happy Mother’s Day.” Maybe not a huge thing, but I personally appreciated it. 🙂
I used to work for this company on my college campus a few years ago. Funny enough, even though the company itself didn’t promote one way or the other concerning COVID, that was actually the reason why I lost my job. LOL. I can vouch for their bagels, because they seriously are delicious.
They sell coffee beverages, bagels of all kinds, and cream cheese spreads.
4. Scooter’s Coffee
Scooter’s is another brand that makes good coffee and simply wants to promote their product with minimal socio-political drama. They’re a coffee house focuses on producing high quality food and beverages in the quickest fashion possible.
Instead of indoor seating, they are essentially pop-up coffee huts that take your order, prepare them as quickly and deliciously as possible, and get you on your way as fast as they can. I also appreciate the company’s endeavors to establish more Scooters franchises in more communities. It helps provide the smaller, and even more rural communities, with jobs and a quick stop for some good coffee. 🙂
They sell coffee beverages, coffee grounds, coffee cups and tumblers, apparel, and even gift bundles!

5. Founding Fathers Coffee
Founding Fathers is a coffee brand with epic product design — on the broad side of their packages, it’s Washington crossing the Delaware, and their logo is three of the Founding Fathers: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin — and an amazing purpose, which is to support the American people. They donate 50% of their proceeds to American military families. If that isn’t commitment, I don’t know what is. Beautifully patriotic and devotedly generous.
To be fully transparent, at the time that I’m writing this, I have not tried this coffee yet. I plan to, but I’ve just bought coffee, so this brand is next on the list.
They sell coffee pods that can be used with Keurig-style machines and bags of coffee grounds. Their products are carried at Walmart and Runnings, but that may depend on location too. If there are other stores that carry this coffee, please let me know in the comments!

Final Words from Me . . .
If you’re interested in me doing a deep dive and honest review of each of these companies products, let me know in the comments! I love trying new coffee drinks and brands, and I also (obviously) love unapologetically sharing my product reviews! 🙂
A Word From You All . . .
Feel free to voice your opinions about this topic in the comments. Do you care enough to boycott certain companies? Do you think it’s worth it? Are you deeply moved by the actions of these companies and feel convicted to put your money into something you can have a clear conscious about?
What a great article!
It’s so nice to find wonderful alternatives to these woke companies and have other businesses we can whole-heartedly support! I know where I’m buying my coffee from now on!
